Learning Textile Circles with Re:birth Project

Textiles regenerated communities in Berlin and Guimarães through Re:birth, a collective journey that reimagined how people connect and create together. The partnership between Trial&Error (Germany) and Caisa (Portugal) celebrated the meeting of sustainability, community, and creativity. Through hands-on workshops with local communities, leftover fabrics and discarded materials were transformed into expressions of identity and care, building new value and meaningful connections.

Trilingual Sewing Dictionary

The trilingual Illustrated Sewing Dictionary was created as an open-access RE Birth project tool to dismantle language barriers and promote peer-to-peer sustainable fashion within diverse community workshops. By blending clear visual illustrations with practical terms for upcycling, mending, and sewing basics across Portuguese, English, and German, this guide empowers vulnerable adult learners to confidently engage in the local green transition.
