Seit Jahren versuchen wir nachhaltige Lösungen zu finden und überlegen, ob wir alternative Modelle implementieren sollen (zum Beispiel: zu begrenzen wie viele Objekte man mitbringen darf, oder einen Mitgliederladen zu werden). Doch strenge Regel sind nicht unbedigt unsere Ding.  

Wir wollen weiter ein Gegenpol zur Konsumkultur zu sein. Menschen helfen, verantwortlich und nachhaltig mit ihrem Waren umzugehen.

Während den Sommerpause werden wir daran arbeiten, den Überfluß wegzubekommen.  
Danach wünschen wir uns:

• dass jeder Zeit zum Einsortieren von Gebrachtem mitbringt.
• dass gut erhaltene Kleidung in kleinen Mengen gebracht wird (stimmt auch für Bücher, Geräte, Schuhe und so weiter)
• und dass auch Dinge mitgenommen werden
• zwischen Mai und September keine Mäntel und dicke Pullis zu bekommen. Sie verstopfen dem Laden und werden meistens bis zum nächsten Winter nicht mitgenommen.

We have a problem: too much clothes.

It happens when people bring a lot of things to us, but take nothing (or little) new ones with them. Of course there are situations in life where you have to get rid of things quickly, for example when you move away. But to use the swap shop all the time only as a drop-off point is in the good case a misunderstanding of our concept, and in the bad case an abuse of our structure.

For years we have been trying to find sustainable solutions and consider whether we should implement alternative models (for example: limiting how many objects you can bring in, or becoming a members-only shop). But strict rules are not exactly our cup of tea. 

We want to continue to be an antipole to the consumer culture. To help people to manage their belongings in a responsible and sustainable way.

During the summer break we will work on getting rid of the surplus. 
After that we wish:

• that everyone takes the time to sort through what they have.
• that clothes in good condition are brought in small quantities (this also applies to books, equipment, shoes and so on)
• and that things are also taken away
• not to get coats and thick sweaters between May and September. They clog up the shop and are usually not taken until the next winter.
