Sperrgutmarkt am Samstag den 05.05
Kommt zum Sperrgutmarktes und bringt eure ungewollten oder kaputten Möbelstücke mit, damit ihr diese dann für andere Schätze tauschen könnt oder wieder zu kleinen Schätzen machen könnt.
Ist der Bezug des Sofas aufgerissen ist? Oder haben die Kinder den Tisch angemalt? Funktioniert die Lampe nicht mehr und fehlt dem Stuhl ein Bein? Oder ist das Stück einfach nur etwas zu langweilig und unpersönlich? Bringt es mit und möbelt es vor Ort und mit professioneller Hilfe und Beratung vom Kulturlabor Trial&Error e.V. wieder auf.
Am Samstag den 05.05 von 12-16h auf dem Spreewaldplatz! Kommt früh genug, sonst verschlingt das BSR Monster die tollsten Schätze.

January 21st. and 22nd., Trial&Error was invited to Köln, to take part in the “Messe der Meister von Morgen” (M.M.M.). We were invited by Büromacht to this event, developed inside the activites of the Passagen 2012, and it was a pleasure to make a workshop and spend time creating some stuff from “real trash” (carefully collected) with the very nice people from Jack in the Box (amazing works!) and all the visitors!
We enjoyed a lot with all workshops that took part there, and is really nice to meet so many upcyclers to create together.
Thank you to all the people were there, specially to all the crew from Büromacht and Jack In The Box!! We hope come back to Köln soon!

Kieznetzwerk workshop with Trial&Error goes Pfandtasche!
The 17th of December Trial&Error kickstarted the Kieznetzwerk - a platform for practically sharing ideas and workshop concepts - with a Pfandtasche workshop!
People from the neighbourhood were invited to make workshopboxes representing their ideas. On each workshopbox you can sign with your name if you like the idea - and we hope to bring likeminded people togheter. For example a “Raucher-box” was made - representing a possible purifing smoke day by Maria, who has knowledge on schaman methods, as well as a “Backfreude-box” - bringing the idea of a competition for the tastiest cake in the kiez.
Besides the conceptualizing of ideas, there was also the possibility to make the most brightest bags of Neukölln! It proved to be a great day, as a bunch of very energetic kids showed up to make bags in the speed of light! We never ever had such an enthusiastic bag production team before!
The results of the Kieznetzwerk workshop will be presented in an exhibition in the Dritte Raum in January. The workshop boxes will be an interactive part of the opening - as good ideas are for sharing. Some of the bags as well as photos by SNPR and Christophe Valliant will be presented.

Upcycling à la Wackelberry - kleider:strom der Bootschaft e.V.
Floß Ahoi! Das Projekt ”kleider:strom” ist eine offene Werkstatt auf einem recycling-Floβ der Bootschaft e.V. Während des Projektes erlernte man handwerkliche Fertigkeiten der Textilwieder- und Weiterverwertung (Siebdruck, Färben mit Naturfarben, Nähen etc.) auf der idyllischen ”Inselwerkstatt” Floß. Dabei wurde vor allem versucht praktische Probleme, wie die Energie- und Wasserversorgung, gemeinsam auf umweltverträgliche Weise zu lösen und sich mit der Umweltthematik der Textilindustrie auseinander zu setzen.
Trial&Error durfe auf dem legendären Floß ”Wackelberry” durch die berliner Gewässer fahren und Upcyclingworkshops geben. Ausgestattet mit Nähmaschinen, Naturfärbemittel, Garn, alten Klamotten, Tetrabacks, ausgediente Flyer, Solarzellen und Energiefahrrädern machen wir uns an die Arbeit. Kiezmobil // mindblowing bench creature
YEAH! The first Kiezmobil Workshop “Müll Materialien” which took place at Ida Nowhere at mothers day was a fantastic action with an awesome result. The great people of the neighbourhood developed together with Trial&Error a mind blowing MaterialSammelStation so called Trash Bench. It’s an overwhelmingly creative, comfortable and crazy bench made out of trash, that’s guarding the beautiful material boxes, bags or baskets to collect material for the Kiezmobil. Sperrgutmarkt @Spreewaldbad
The last weekend of April, Trial & Error was upcycling used and broken furniture into unique pieces on the very spot at the Sperrgutmarkt.
Together with the GEKKO Reichenberger in Kreuzberg, the Nachbarschaftshaus Urbanstraße, the BSR and of course great people from the neighbourhood, we spent the afternoon on, in, under and surrounded by furniture. All the guests were invited to upcycle their own beloved piece or simply work on broken things. Once upcycled, they have been put back for people to take them or been taken by the upcyclers themselves. See the awesome results!

On Easter Monday Trial & Error was invited to upcycle on the spot in a hidden garden in the heart of Rixdorf, Neukölln. Together with kind locals and the association Netzwerk Stadtraumkultur e.V. we spent the afternoon picking up trash, eating Easter chocolate rabbits and upcycling an old abandoned fridge into a colourful bench.
The bench is now happily sitting on the Streuobstwiese and represents joint efforts for building a better and nicer neighbourhood. The same spirit that follows our Kiezmobil project! Yesterday in Baustelbar in ODC we had a Tea Bag presentation and worked on the new glue Tea Bag family. These are some of the results!
